Renovated 1920s Tudor-Style Home

The new open-concept kitchen is the star of the show in this renovated 1920s Tudor-style home. Coffered ceiling detail hides the structural beams, while the other beams are decorative and faux. The all Thermador suite includes a full-size fridge column, freezer column, a double steam oven and an induction cooktop. Porcelain clads the counters, the waterfall down the edge of the island, the wall and the hood. Other details include two sinks, an orangery-style skylight, and a hutch that displays the family’s heirloom china. The dining room was relocated to the back of the house to take advantage of the natural light; a beautiful built-in banquette separates the space from the family room which has new millwork, a large art TV, and large sectional. In the front of the house, the cocktail lounge has a speak-easy style with a funky moody interior that includes gold leaf on the ceiling, Rembrandt-inspired mural wallpaper, fireplace, and a fully equipped wet bar. The striking powder room has peacock wallpaper, antique brass mirror and an emerald green quartzite stone floating vanity. Other features include the front entrance with its barrel vault ceiling and porcelain tile flooring and the combination mudroom/laundry room with its built-in millwork, natural slate flooring and French doors that open to the front of the house.
