Renovated City Family Home

The design goals of this renovated city family home were to refinish the kitchen, enlarge the dining room, increase pantry space and add a mudroom. Space was reclaimed from the outside to create a walk-in pantry with heated floors and a skylight. The kitchen has new quartzite countertops and backsplash, a custom stained walnut island, and an induction range; the dining banquette has integrated storage. A mudroom was added by creating a zone at the rear of the home. The powder room was updated with bold wallpaper and a new sink and faucet. Minor facelifts were given to the living room and principal bedroom. A previously open space near the principal bedroom was enclosed to create a nursery. Adding a dormer to the third floor allowed the creation of a large bathroom with a stacked washer/dryer. Take the tour in this House & Home video:
