Renovated Family-Friendly Victorian Row House

This family-friendly renovated Victorian row house has a mix of contemporary and traditional elements. The functional chef’s kitchen has dark green Shaker cabinetry, Carrara marble countertops and backsplash, and a built-in bookshelf for cookbooks. To allow more natural light, the decision was made to forego an island. The living room opens up to the backyard which is a mixed garden and dining area with a herringbone brick patio and a wall of juniper trees. An old vintage table allows the dining room to serve double duty as a coloring/homework space. IKEA bookcases create a mudroom area in the entryway. Other features include the kids’ bedroom with its pink drapes, canopy beds and wardrobes, the cottage style master bedroom and the main bathroom with its clawfoot tub and marble subway tile.
